Study Of Concubine Characters In Chuanqi Of The Late Ming Dynasty

The concubine group in chuanqi of the Late Ming Dynasty has always been an important territory of research but witnessing inadequacy of systematic studies to date.This article is based on the chuanqi of the Late Ming Dynasty concubine characters.Combined with the cultural background of the Late Ming Dynasty,The author placed this special character in the stream of history of the Late Ming Dynasty.This paper makes every effort to grasp the connotation of concubine characters and to understand the value and significance of the concubine characters in the Late Ming Dynasty.The first chapter mainly discusses two aspects:the origin and the survey of concubine groups.On one hand,this paper analyzes the historical origin and the literary tradition of concubine characters.On the other hand,the author combs out 41 main characters from the chuanqi of the Late Ming Dynasty,and arrange the title,author,identity,role,the creation time of the text or the existing earlier version of the content into a table to analyzes the promotion of the importance of the Late Ming Dynasty concubine characters.The second chapter focuses on the analysis of the diversity of the concubine characters in the chuanqi of the Late Ming Dynasty.It mainly includes the image of concubines who comply with the traditional morality,break through the traditional morality,highlight the talents of women.It focuses on the performance and the connotation of the Late Ming Dynasty chuanqi concubines in faithful chastity,brave,pursuit of love,loyalty etc.The third chapter mainly discusses the method of shaping the characters of the Late Ming Dynasty.First,some of the Late Ming Dynasty chuanqi have two story lines:the concubine with the husband and the wife with the husband.This structure raises the status of the concubine characters.Second,the Late Ming Dynasty chuanqi set up some fantastic narrative space,include fairyland and multiple construction of space and characters.Vividly the Late Ming Dynasty chuanqi portray the characteristics of ghost concubine.At last,the language style of the concubine characters in the Late Ming Dynasty has been influenced by the article style of elegant,it assumes the color of “A young or middle-aged female character type in Chinese dramas”.This elegant language style reflects the extraordinary temperament of the concubine characters of the Late Ming Dynasty chuanqi.Finally,the fourth chapter discusses the value and significance of the Late Ming Dynasty concubine characters.It mainly includes two aspects:the social reality and the literary imagination of family relationship adjustment,the social evaluation and the individual pursuit of female consciousness awakening.On the one hand,the literary description of the concubine characters in the family relationship adjustment can reflect the fashion of the Late Ming Society.On the other hand,the pursuit of free love,equality of men and women,self value reflected the awakening of women consciousness and the progress of female view in the Late Ming Dynasty.
