A Research On The Influence Of Personality Traits To Driving Anger

Driving anger is the more common current negative emotions which has a significant harm to the road traffic safety.At present,there are relatively few researches on driving anger in China.Based on the study of personality traits,this study uses the quantitative research and qualitative research methods to analyze the personality mechanism of the impact of driving anger.Quantitative study selected 357 drivers in Beijing and Chongqing,conducted a questionnaire survey using the "Chinese Big Five Personality Inventory brief version" and the "Driving anger scale",and carried out driving on different demographic characteristics and different personality traits.The results are as follows: There is a significant positive correlation between neuroticism and driving anger in terms of personality traits,and conscientiousness and agreeableness are significantly negatively correlated with driving anger;neuroticism has a positive predictive effect,conscientiousness has a negative effect on driving anger.In terms of demographic factors,there is a significant difference in the level of driving anger between drivers of different ages,different educational levels and different marital status,specifically the level of driving anger of unmarried,Low-educated drivers are higher.There is no significant difference in the level of anger between the different sexes and the driver of the different driving age.Qualitative research based on the self-made interview outline of the 14 drivers of semistructured interviews,and then interview the recording of the text material encoded and analyzed to obtain the impact of driving anger personality traits research results on the front of the quantitative research has been added and the role of confirmation.Summed up the specific impact of driving anger personality characteristics include: A type of personality,attribution tendency,emotional adjustment ability,activity,habits and other aspects of the five aspects.Among them,the A-type personality includes time urgency and high competition.Attributional tendencies include external attribution and hostile attribution.Emotional ability includes attention ability and ability of emotion control.Based on the results,this study analyzes the personality traits that affect the driving anger,which has a certain inspiration for the prevention of injury and intervention.
