With the development of globalization,the interaction and interdependence has been deepening across the world,which strengthened the interaction between countries?regions? closely.The function of translation become increasingly important in the world of multi-culture and multi-lingual,so to train what kind of translation talents adapts the rapid social development becoming an urgent.In 2007,Academic Degree Commission of the State Council began to launch the pilot implementation on MTI,206 universities and colleges got the qualification by the end of 2016.MTI has made great progress in nearly 10 years' construction and development.As a new subject,MTI education exists lots of problems like unclear educational objectives,unreasonable curriculum provision,adjusting teaching mode and so on.Based on those points,the research not only draw support from the theory of constructivism,functionalism and Multiple Intelligences,but has comparative study with Taiwan's professional and practical teaching methods.The research analyzes the similarities and differences of talent cultivation mode from educational objectives,teaching methodology,curriculum development and measurement and evaluation of teaching to explain the drawbacks of MTI.The paper tries to investigate the satisfaction of talent cultivation mode by means of questionnaires and surveys.What's more,the research,which collect the relevant data and analyze it,find that Master of Translation in Taiwan has better curriculum design,teaching mode and talent cultivation methods than mainland China,meaning that MTI program need to be improved and promoted.Finally,raising the relative recommendation according to the existing problems and learning the advantages from Taiwan's experience,which should emphasize the characteristic of profession and practice in cultivation target,students' translating and interpreting ability,and integrating with teaching theory.Moreover,profession-oriented teachers and modern technology are also essential to the talents cultivation.
