Purpose:To investigate the current situation of victimization among junior high school students,and understand the current status of bullied junior high school students’ school adaption.To study the effect of self-esteem group counseling on improving the level of self-esteem and school adaptation in non-resilient develop group among bullied junior high school students.Object:Survey research: Select 32 classes from 4 junior high school of one city through the stratified and cluster random sampling for measuring by taking one class as a unit.Intervention study: 80 students are randomly selected from non-resilient group of bullied junior high school students and divided into intervention and contrast group.Methodologies:1.Doing investigation: there use the following four research tools in this investigation:Self-designed general information questionnaire,School adaption inventory for junior students,Short form of EMBU,Olweus Victim questionnaire and Rosenberg self-esteem scale.It preliminary learns the basic characteristics of victimization among junior high school students,the characteristics of the school adaptability and related factors among bullied junior high school students,the resilient development of bullied junior high school students in school adaptability.2.Doing intervention: based on the results of investigation above,the self-esteem grouping counseling which fit for the psychological characteristics of bullied junior high school student are designed.It gives the intervention group the group counseling for 8 times during 2 months,90 minutes each time,while doing nothing to the contrast group.Results:1.Results of doing investigation:(1)There are 832 bullied ones among the students investigated,and the prevalence of victimization is 50.03%.The prevalence of victimization is different for gender(χ~2=66.875,p<0.001)and grade(χ~2=21.748,p<0.001).The types of victimization are different for gender and grade(p<0.05).(2)Conventional adaptation of bullied junior high school students has significant difference in gender(t=-2.036,p<0.05).Except of companion relation,the total score of School adaptation and other dimensions has significant difference in grade(p<0.05).In addition to relation with teacher and conventional adaptation,the total score of school adaptation and other dimensions has significant difference in family financial situation(p<0.05).(3)Not bullied junior high students’ scores of school adaptation and other dimensions are significant higher than bullied junior high students’(p<0.01).In addition to father over protection factor,the parental rearing pattern of bullied junior high school students and not bullied junior high school students has significant differences(p<0.001).Not being bullied junior high school students’ score of the self-esteem scale are significantly higher than bullied junior high school students’(t = 4.987,p<4.987).(4)In addition to father over protection factor,the parental rearing pattern between resilient develop group and non-resilient group has significant difference(p<0.05);resilient develop group’s score of self-esteem scale is significant higher than non-resilient-develop group’s(t=-7.994,p<0.001).(5)Self-esteem plays a partial intermediary role between father refuse,father emotionalwarmth,mother emotional warmth and school adaptation,and a completely intermediary role between mother over protection and school adaptation.2.Results of doing intervention:(1)After the intervention,the intervention group has significant differences between pre-test and post-test on the score of self-esteem scale(t=-7.185,p<0.001),but there has no difference in the contrast group(p>0.05).By comparing between groups,the intervention group’ score of self-esteem has increased more significantly than the contrast group.(2)After the intervention,the intervention group has significant differences between pre-test and post-test on the score of school adaptation total volume table(t=-3.516,p<0.01),school attitudes and emotion(t=-2.494,p<0.05),and companion relation(t=-4.221,p<0.001),but there has no difference in the contrast group(p>0.05).By comparing between groups,the intervention group’s score of school adaptation total volume table(t=2.895,p<0.05),school attitudes and emotion(t=2.203,p<0.05),and companion relation(t=3.585,p<0.01)has increased more significantly than the contrast group.Conclusion:(1)The prevalence of victimization is high among junior high school students,and the prevalence and type of victimization has difference in gender and grade.(2)Parental rearing pattern and self-esteem are important protect factors in the resilient develop of bullied junior high school students’ school adaptation,and parental rearing pattern,self-esteem and the level of resilient develop correlate significantly.(3)Self-esteem plays a partial intermediary role between father refuse,father emotional warmth,mother emotional warmth and school adaptation,and a completely intermediary role between mother over protection and school adaptation.(4)Self-esteem group counseling has some effect on improving bullied junior high school students’ self-esteem and school adaptation.But it has no significant effect on improving academic adaptation,relation with teacher and conventional adaptation.
