Thus spoke Zarathustra is the sign of maturity of Friedrich Nietzsche’s thought,it’s the masterpiece of political philosophy in Nietzsche’s works,including his important thought of comprehensive and complete statement.Nietzsche claimed it to be the "hall" of his philosophy.In the first volume of Thus spoke Zarathustra,Zarathustra went down from the mountain to the public announcing of the "death of God" and "Superman" teachings,unexpected failed,so instead of attracting the masses,he turned to a few people to continue teaching "Superman" : The three transformation of spirit,the road to ancient nation,life’s various new values,gift-giving virtue......And return to the mountain.The first volume focuses on the "death of God" and "Superman"."Death of God" means the fall of the European’s sacred values of life in thousands of years,which leading to the fate of modern people to be "the Superman" or "the lastman".In the "One thousand and one goals" section which tracing the tradition of ancient law,appeared "will to power" for the first time in the book,the main features of Superman is "will to power".Nietzsche focus on "will to power" and "eternal return" in the latter three volumes.In the Second volume Zarathustra found his teachings had been distorted,and then again he went down the mountain,bringing his new wisdom “will to power—— "will to power" is the legislative will".But he repeated Platonism’s mistakes,so he went back again.In the third volume,he understood "the eternal return" during the wandering.In the fourth volume he abandoned the sympathy to the era’s high men,continue self-education,and look ahead to "the future philosophy".Looking throughout this book,"Superman" thought in the first volume embodies Nietzsche’s "exoteric teaching",the real feature of Superman is reflected as the strong power willing "eternal return" ——He appears loving his fate in the current era,subverting the Socrates-Platonism tradition、Christian tradition、Enlightenment tradition by "will to power",joining the highest spirit of eternal opposites of Athens and Jerusalem in his body,willing classical traditional law’s "eternal return",so as to transcend modernity as a great legislator. |
