Kaogongji is the first ancient book among Pre-Qin literature which records Chinese technical specifications,process and management system in many handicraft fabricated dep artment.In this book,the shape of these artifacts,the process of making them,the na mes of each part as well as ratio and quality standard are detailed described,representin g the advanced handicraft technology in the first Qin era.From the Han Dynasty to th e Republic period,many scholar have made some commentaries to this book,among which Zheng Xuan's(Han Dynasty),Jia Gongyan' s(Tang Dynasty),Sun Yirang's(Qing Dynasty)are outstanding representatives.Combined with modern research and archaeologica l materials,this thesis summaries and does some analytic research on many scholar's co mmentaries according to the form of notes.General y,it belongs to the work of literatu re study.At the same time,as the metalworking research is relatively weak,the thesis only carries on the preliminary research by discussing and distinguishing the formation an d function of three kinds of objects namely cut,sword,bel.Through the preliminary an alysis,pare form combination of six for a round.the cut shapes for the six convex and con cave gauge.Its function is not limited to book a machete,a knife scrape off this funct ion,it is also used as short weapons and repairing equipment.According to the differen t shapes of the bronze sword,it is divided into round stem and flat stem,more specif ical y,a round stem shape with the real shape or an empty heart.The sword With or wit hout shou.La ge hou ji.Bell is also refers to Niu Bell?Chime Bell and other large music i mplements used as the materialized appearance of ritual system in Zhou periods.
