In recent years,with the constant development of the network technology,the video open courses have emerged in people’s lives.With the help of the convenient network,the video open courses have spread among the college students and the public,which have entitled more people to the subject knowledge,professional information and cutting-edge hotspots.In this way,the knowledge and information can be more widely spread and shared.In the meanwhile,the study on video open course interpretation can enrich the theory and practice of interpreting.The interpreter has chosen the classic video open course Approach to Petroleum II & III of China University of Petroleum for the simulated live interpreting,regarded the foreign students who are studying in this university as the simulated audiences,analyzed the practical results by Gile’s Effort Model,and summarized the reasons of imbalance of effort distribution.Then the interpreter has proposed the strategies to solve the problems by improving listening comprehension,enhancing short-term memory,elevating note-taking,and enriching linguistic and non-linguistic knowledge.This report is divided into four chapters.Chapter one is task description,which mainly includes topic source and significance,task objective,and description and analysis of simulated audiences.Chapter two is process description including preparation before interpreting,process and analysis of interpreting and quality evaluation.Chapter three is case analysis in which the interpreter analyzes the phenomenon of effort distribution problems,then makes a summary of the reasons of them in accordance with Gile’s theory,and finally puts forward the suggestive strategies.Chapter Four is Conclusion.
