Research On Guangzhou Cultural Creative Industry

Now,cultural creative industry has become the sunrise industry of the 21 st century,countries around the world are considering the cultural creative industries as major initiatives to develop national economy.Guangzhou is making great efforts to develop the cultural creative industry and has achieved good results at present.The cultural creative industry of Guangzhou is in the leading position of China and has made a significant contribution to the local economy.The culture market has been improved and the industrial agglomeration benefit has also increased.Compared with the foreign countries,the time of developing Guangzhou's cultural creative industry is too late;therefore,there are many serious problems which danger to the future development.In order to solve the problems of Guangzhou cultural creative industry,this article will make comparison between Guangzhou and London to learn good experience from the development of creative industries in the city of London.This paper will make comparison from the perspectives of geographical location advantages,cultural resources,government support,corporate financing,talent and technology and then use the SWOT analysis method to summarize the strengths,weaknesses,opportunities and threats according to the comparison and the current situation of Guangzhou cultural creative industry.And the summary as followed: the advantages of Guangzhou cultural creative industry are good economic foundation,rich cultural resources,large market demand;the disadvantages are lacking of cultural awareness,low popularity of language,limited financing channels,improper personnel training mode;the opportunity is the support from the country,‘three old' transformation,economic globalization;the threat is competition both at home and abroad due to the globalization.Finally,according to summary of SWOT analysis and the comparison of Guangzhou and London,this paper will put forward some suggestions to solve the problems encountered in the development of cultural creative industry in Guangzhou,such as: keeping the advantages of culture creative industry advantage,accelerating the process of the construction of international metropolis,paying more attention to culture innovation ability,etc.
