As the development of era,the upgrading speed of network technology is speeding up.The information received by people is becoming more and more convenient.But the information has also unconsciously influenced the values of the adolescent,and has triggered some effects on the mental health in junior high school students.Recent years,adolescent problems are becoming increasingly serious,and triggering more people to pay attention.The cultivation of adolescent personality have been arising from the sight of the education workers.The cultivation of adolescent personality contains many aspects,and the cultivation of the self-supporting personality is the important part in the cultivation of adolescent personality.Therefore,the study aims at surveying the juniors’ present situation of self supporting personality,getting more inspiration to offer more countermeasures,and providing more empirical and theoretical bases for the cultivation of adolescent self-supporting personality.In this study,600 juniors from 3 junior high schools in Sichuan province are selected as the research objects.Self-supporting Personality Scale for Adolescent Students and S-EMBU are taken as the test materials.After the analysis of the collected data,the results show that:(1)The level of juniors’ self-supporting personality is in the medium,should be paid more attention and be improved.(2)In the demographic variables,the self-supporting personality of junior high school students is not statistically significant in gender;in the dimension of interpersonal independence,there are differences in different grades and are statistically significant;there are significant differences between the one-child and non-only-child scores in the two dimensions of interpersonal and individual responsibility;in the five dimensions of interpersonal independence,interpersonal flexibility,personal openness,individual independence and personal initiative,the student scores of the class cadre are significantly different from those of students who did not serve as class cadre;in the two dimensions of interpersonal and personal initiative,the scores of parents who are not working in the local are significantly different from those of parents who are working in the local;in the individualresponsibility of this dimension,single parent,parents and inter-generation of the three family structures of the score difference is very significant;in the dimension of individual independence,urban student scores show a very significant difference from rural student scores.(3)Parents’ emotional warmth significantly positively relates to the total score of self-supporting personality and its most dimensions.But parents’ overprotection significantly positively relates to the total score of self-supporting personality and its most dimensions.(4)The mother’s emotional warmth has positively predictive effect on self-supporting personality.The mother’s overprotection has positively predictive effect on self-supporting personality.
