Translation Of The Economy Of Green Cities Under The Guidance Of System Theoey

Twenty-first century is marked with environmental friendly development and ecological civilization.In recent years,the green city design has become the main trend of city planning.Therefore,the paper selects chapter 2 in an economic book entitled The Economy of Green Cities as translation material.Based on the fundamental principles of system theory proposed by Bertalanffy,namely integrity principle,structural principle,hierarchical principle,environmental principle,optimality principle in particular,the paper analyses the problems in the the English-Chinese translation practice and comes up with relevant translation strategies with specific examples from both vocabulary and sentence level.The paper concludes that the ultimate goal of translation is to achieve the optimization of function,and only optimality principle be followed in the process of translation,can the information of original text be conveyed to the readers accurately and authentically.
