The Usage Study On Chinese Textbook "Experiencing Chinese" In Thailand

With the promotion of China's economic status and international influence,"Learn Mandarin,Travel around the World," which Chinese-fever in many areas continue to heat up.Among all the countries that study Chinese,Asian countries put the most attention to Chinese teaching,in which southeast Asian countries,mainly in Thailand,love Chinese.Therefore,Chinese teaching in Asia,especially in southeast Asia,is the most active and the teaching materials are also most abundant,and the problems are also prominent.In 1990 s,Chinese teaching has been widely carried out in Thailand,almost all public schools have opened Chinese courses.There are a lot of Chinese textbooks used in Thailand,which is commonly used the book "Experiencing Chinese" “Happy Chinese” "Chinese Course" and so on.Each area,each school's choose different teaching materials according to the economic situation and teaching needs.My school is the user of "Experiencing Chinese",which is one of the key popularized textbook.Although many scholars and experts have done a lot of research on Chinese teaching materials in Thailand,but the using situation of Chinese Textbooks in a school is still relatively small.The author carries on the investigation to the using and adapting situation of "Experiencing Chinese" of Songpittayakom school in Phrae,found in Thailand middle school Chinese textbooks daily using and adapting problems,than give advices to promote its using effect.This research have positive significance for improving the local use efficiency and adaptability of Chinese teaching materials in Thailand,In addition,the study of this problem can also provide some ideas for the research on the using situation and adaptability of Chinese Textbooks in other countries.Songpittayakom school,as the object,I made some investigations of the basic using situation and adaptability problems of Chinese textbooks "Experiencing Chinese" by questionnaires survey and interview in the school,combined with the specific circumstances of the school and the area where the school stay,hope to be able to provide useful suggestions to improve the Chinese textbook's using effect.
