Donggan language is the language used by Hui people who have emigrated to central Asia from the northwest region of China more than one hundred years ago.It is derived from the Chinese dialect of the north-west Hui ethnic in the late Qing Dynasty and is one special variety of the Chinese language dialects in the Northwest China. On the one hand,Donggan language retains the characteristics of Shanxi and Gansu Muslim languages before entering Central Asia.On the other hand,Donggan language has also been influenced by other languages strongly,so compared with the dialect of north-west Hui ethnic,it has changed,to various degrees,in the aspects of phonetics, vocabulary, grammar and so on,showing the unique characteristics of Donggan language.Based on a small corpus of Donggan language, this study describes and analyzes the particles of Donggan language in a systematical and synchronic way,and emphatically describes and analyzes the structural auxiliary words, body auxiliary words, temporal auxiliary words, comparative auxiliary words and other auxiliary words. Moreover, adopting the method of comparative analysis, this study compares and analyzes the auxiliary words of Donggan language with that of mandarin and that of the north-west dialect of Chinese. The methods of qualitative and quantitative analysis are adopted in this study to compare and analyze Donggan language with the north-west dialect, which mainly compares and analyzes Donggan language with the Dictionary of North-west Dialects edited by Li Rong--a relatively persuasive dictionary in academia. The comparison makes us figure out the features of the auxiliary words of Donggan language, its similarities and differences with the auxiliary words of mandarin as well as its historical origin with the auxiliary words of the north-west dialect of Chinese.
