A Report On E-C Translation Of A Teacher’s Manual For Manners Of The Heart At The Table

Today,it becomes a trend for different cultures to communicate with and merge into each other.Learning and absorbing good aspects from western cultures,including Western etiquettes,is one of the major purposes for cultural exchanges between China and western countries.This translation report is based on the teacher’s book of Manners of the Heart At The Table—one of the Manners of the Heart series introduced from America by Shanghai Etiquette Association.In the report,the author firstly reviews the whole process,from its establishment to the completion,of implementation of the project.Then the author selects some difficulties encountered and ways figured out to overcome them for a detailed analysis.Finally,after reflecting on those ways,the author summarizes the lessons and experience gained from the translation in the hope of providing some reference for other translators in the field.
