In the 21st century,as human has entered an era of knowledge-driven economy,the importance of human resource management is becoming greater and greater,which plays a crucial role in the development of the enterprises.Many enterprises have realized that human resources are the most competitive resources.Only if theinnovation of human resource management is implemented,the important role of talents can be made full use of.Most of the domestic enterprises are at an early stage of human resources management at present.However,the United States of America has been leading the international human resources management.Therefore,the author has translated Chapter Five of the Human Resources Management(Twelfth Edition)by Gary Dessler in this paper,namely Personnel Planning and Recruiting,hoping that the Chinese entrepreneurs and managers can learn the international advanced knowledge of human resources management from this paper.In the early May of 2014,the author got down to the translation.It took the author four months to complete the English-Chinese translation,which included the four periods,review,reading,initial translation and proofreading.The translation is based on the Interpretative Theory of Translation,which insists that the translation is a three-step procedure:comprehension,deverbalization,and re-expression.And deverbalization is the essence in the process of translation in light of the Interpretative Theory of Translation.This translation is a process of the author's comprehension of the text on the basis of the author's knowledge of human resources management,deverbalization of the original English language,and re-expression of the knowledge,contents,structures and emotions in Chinese which are the author's comprehension.The main methods of deverbalization in this translation are the translation strategies in light of the Interpretative Theory of Translation,that is,syntactic linearity,preposition,division,synthesization,amplification,omission,and comprehensive application strategies.In light of the Interpretative Theory of Translation,the author studies the knowledge in the field of human resources management,utilizes the relevant translation strategies and translates the text,focusing on solving the problems of the related terms,graphs and word translation choices which are the difficulties in the English-Chinese translation of the textbooks about human resource management.By translating this text,the author has introduced the translation strategies in light of the Interpretative Theory of Translation into the English-Chinese translation in thefield of human resources management to deal with long sentences in English.And theauthor has discussed the feasibility,theoretical value,practical significance and generalization of the translation strategies in light of the Interpretative Theory of Translation which are implemented in the English-Chinese translation in the field of human resources management.At the same time,the author realizes that she is lack of bilingual ability,comprehensive knowledge and translation theories and practice.In the future,the author will continue to study hard,carry out in-depth study on translation theories and strategies,learn much about knowledge of human resources management,develop comprehensive knowledge,practice English-Chinese translation in the field of human resources management,and improve the ability and proficiency of English-Chinese translation.
