Abstract/Summary:
This is a translation report based on the translation practice of the MBA dissertation: Heterogeneous Motives and the Collective Creation of Value. With the rapid development of socialist market economy, human resources management is becoming more and more important. Whether an enterprise can develop soundly or not depends on the quality of its staff and the efficiency of human resources management.This dissertation is from Academy of Management Review(AMR), which is about 10,000 words and was referenced for many times in a relatively short period of time. There are no Chinese versions for it. Translating this dissertation aims to provide reference for Chinese readers.This report includes five chapters. The first chapter is an introduction to the translation report, including the report background, objectives, significance and the report structure. The second chapter is the research background, including theoretical basis, the introduction and the main content of the source text, and its language features. The third chapter is the translation process, including pre-translation preparation and translation difficulties in translation process, etc.The fourth chapter is about translation methods.This report illustrates methods adopted in the translation process with Functional Equivalence Theory as the theoretical guidance. The methods include lexical skills adopted during translation practice, the processing of long and complex English sentences. The last chapter summarizes the lessons in this translation practice. This report aims to explore translation methods for this management academic dissertation, and provide reference for the future translation practice of the management science.
