The Book Of Songs In Poetry Theory Of Qing Dynasty

As the earliest anthology of poems in China,The Book of Songs has always attracted wide attention,the exposition books came out one after another in different dynasties.The poetry theory as an carrier to the expression of the poets’ poetics which also record information about the process of poem creation and contain a lot of concern and explanation on the content.A number of poetry theory books in the Qing dynasty have been protected completely,and different authors talked about The Book of Songs more or less.At present,most of the studies on the Qing poetry theory focused on poets or monographs,for example,Wang Fuzhi,Yuan Mei,Yao Jiheng and their poetics;Other people concentrate on seeking and publishing productions of these famous people.This article based on Qing shi hua,Qing shi hua Xu bian,Daijing tang Shi hua,Suiyuan Shi hua and so on,collating and analyzing the Qing poetry theory related to The Book of Songs,and completing the Qing poetry theory research from two aspects,the Confucian classics and literary.From this analysis we can conclude The Book of Songs’ evaluating and accepting situation in Qing dynasty.From classics perspective on the poems,most of these poetry theory authors use six-meaning,poems education,and the topic of poems as joint to poems and poem comments.From literature perspective on the poems,most poetry theory authors establish The Book of Songs as the supreme literature source firstly,then most of them advocate to learn from this anthology in thought,content,and creation techniques.In this way,poetry theory was introduced into specific actual of creation category.Absolutely,different people reach different level in the process of learning.Most of these poetry theory authors put The Book of Songs as an evaluation criterion to talk about the later poets and their poems from different angles,about their content and level.Finally,we can conclude how The Book of Songs in the Qing dynasty was evaluated,accepted and recognized,coming to the clearing command in the characteristics of poetry theory,and grasping the influence of the classic-original in Qing dynasty.
