The Research Of Heinrich Cunow's Interpretation Of Marxist Ethics And Its Value

In the second international period,the new situation of capitalist development appeared inconsistent with Marxist theory.With the death of Engels and the division of the Social Democratic Inner-Party in Germany,Marxism faced the double challenges of theory and reality.Especially after the mid nineteenth Century,with the rise of Neo-Kantianism,some people with the slogan of "returning to Kant" tried to use Kant's ethics to make complement to Marxist theory,in order to demonstrate that through non-violent revolution to realize the legitimacy of “ethical socialism”.Within the Social Democratic Party,the right represented by Bernstein also openly supported the views of the new kantianist.The situation of the internal and external attack,made the development of Marxist theory fall into a passive situation.In order to clarify people's misunderstanding to Marxist theory,Cunow through an in-depth analysis of Marx and Engels' relevant texts,in the perspective of historical materialism,systematically illustrated Marxist ethics.Cunow thought,historical materialism was the world outlook foundation of Marxist ethics.In order to correctly interpret Marxist Ethics,firstly we have to correctly understand the historical materialism.Therefore,under the premise that insist on economic mode is the foundation of social life,he expounded social spiritual life's interaction between dependence on material life and social ideology as well as the theory of class struggle.Finally,this paper elaborated the relationship between historical materialism and Marxist ethics.On this basis,Cunow emphatically illustrated the essential characteristics of Marxist ethics.He pointed out that the morality originated from the social relations of real human,and had social nature;with the development of social economy,the transformation of production mode also brought some changes of moral principles and ethics moral these specific contents of morality,therefore morality had historic significance;because each class had its special economic interests,thus it had its special moral principles and norms so morality also had class nature.Under this premise,Cunow compared Marxist ethics with Kant's ethics views,and emphasized the essential difference between the two views,thus in the theoretical basis,Cunow negated the Neo Kantianist legitimacy of "returning to Kant" and its ethical socialism.Cunow's illustration to Marxist ethics,not only was conducive to help people resist the erroneous behavior of Neo Kantianism,and promote the continuous development of proletarian revolutionary practice,but also conducive to continuously develop it in the basis on mastering the true spirit of Marxist ethics at present,and promote the further development of China's socialist moral construction.
