The thesis is considered to place Tangyulin in the social and culture background ,meanwhile, from the perspective of narratology elucidate the narrative characteristic of Tangyulin ,analysis the deep reasons of formation of these characteristics simultaneously.A Narrative research of Tangyulin is divided into five aspects: narrative subject,narrative perspective,narrative language, narrative strategy,narrative style.Chapter one is about the narrative subject of Tangyulin. The narrator of Tangyulin has multiple narrate strain. On account of the huge influence of the biographically historic literature, the narrate present a kind of solemn style. Compare to the biographically historic literature, the interest of "Zhiren" novel increased, which present a kind of divertingness. Instead of give comments directly like taishigongyue in Shiji,Tangyulin choose hide the comments in the novel,it present a kind of critic' s tone. The Narrative subject expressed its value orientation through the material selection, emotional tendency and value comments.Chapter Two is about the narrative perspective of Tangyulin. Tangyulin inherit Shishuoxinyu' s style and length which concrete manifestation of short length as well as succinct language.
