This thesis discuss the function of ethics guide, ethics performance, ethics communication in the entire narrative activities from narrative subject, narrative text and narrative acceptance, then we reflect the narrative ethical criticism as criticism form. We hope this could provide a new way for narrative ethical research. The introduction shows the research object and basic methods, illuminate the relationship between rhetorical narration theory and "narrative ethics", points out that it turns to two subjectauthors and readers.Chapter one divides into two quarter, the first quarter clarifies the basic concept: rhetoric, ethics and narrative, and discusses their relationship; In the second quarter,we focus on the turning of rhetorical narration theory, discusses how could Wayne Booth'"The Rhetoric of Fiction"turn to James phelan'"rhetoric narrative ethics".Chapter two discuss the ethical guiding function of narrative subject, the rhetorical narration theory fight against the old saying as "author has died", they take the narrative subject to a significant position. The first quarter study the ethical position between true author and implied, the second quarter mainly discusses ethical orientation of narrative reliability. The third chapter research the ethical performance of narrative text. The narrative text is the media in the communication between author and reader as the "objective corresponding" of the their shared value. In the first, second quarter we research the ethical point of plot, structure, perspective, person view; in the third and fouth quarter,we begin with the narrative space and narrative speed which the rhetorical narration theory neglected, explore the ethical performance of "time-space body" in narrative text . The four quarters are all begin from close reading, tries to get some rules. The fourth chapter focus on readers, concerning the ethics communication and narrative acceptance. The first quarter explains the modern reading theory, points out the significance of narrative acceptance in the history of literature theory and aesthetics. The second section propose the narrative ethics are "experienced" and "shaping". Different from the author Wumaoguo,we consider every reading is a combination of ethical experience, every reading call on the readers' actively participate in rhetorical activities, make the moral judgment, get "clean" and "sublimation" constantly in the ethical experiences, thus the narrative ethics become experienced and shaping ethics. The fifth chapter truns to "narrative ethical criticism".it is important for novel criticism. The first quarter shows the characteristics of narrative ethical criticism in comparison to literature ethics criticism, that narrative ethical criticism focus on the responsibility of authors and readers; "Narrative ethical criticism" as a kind of criticism form, if be blindly applied, could be arbitrary and abuse, in criticizing standards also can produce certain deviation, respectively, in the second quarter for "narrative ethical criticism" appears in the interpretation of arbitrary and rigid. The second quarter mainly talks about this and propose my own idea, discuss with James Phelan and LiJianjun. In the end we try to explore "narrative ethics" as a rhetorical narration, means what to humanists. The basic theory research of narrative ethics or narrative ethical criticism, is undoubtedly a choice, but this choice contains a kind of humane care: at present, the ethics value disorder, nihilism, extreme relativism is popular, we must pay attention to communicate and exchange, understanding comes first, then judgment and seek common ground while reserving differences, stick to intellect and virtue in research and teaching.
