Since the twentieth century, the study of opera ushered has been in rapid development period. The research team has been getting bigger and the achievements have enriched. Entering the21st century, in the background of working on the inheritance and protection of intangible cultural heritage, folklore and anthropology perspectives have been introduced into the study of opera, and folk theatrical troupe came into the eyesight of researchers. Folk theatrical troupe, which is the carrier of opera, made a great contribution to inherit traditional opera and enrich regional cultural life.This paper takes E Ze Youth Chu Opera Troupe as the research object, which locates in the bridgehead of The Yangze Bridge at Wuhan, and uses the soundscapes perspective of ethnomusicology and method of literature, field work and oral history.Restoring folk theatrical troupe to its ecology, this paper attempts to do a comprehensive interpretation of folk theatrical troupe from the dimension of time and space. The main contents include four parts: describing the living environment of folk theatrical troupe. Introducing the basic situation in detail, such as development history,size, composition, and the performers. Introducing the economic operation mode in detail. Describing the performing forms and the acts of folk theatrical troupe.This paper attempts to draw the following conclusion: First, folk theatrical troupe locates in the bridgehead of The Yangze Bridge at Wuhan, where the waterway and landway are both convenient. With many old people gather there, folk theatrical troupe has a broad mass base for success. Second, carried on business here for 16 years there, the folk theatrical troupe has formed a stable cast and efficient management model. Third, with the improvement of the consumption level of the elderly, and the correct understanding towards old people's consumption psychology,folk theatrical troupe succeeds in economy. Fourth, the performing contents of folk theatrical troupe are based on the traditional acts of Chu Opera,complemented by the original acts. Performers would improvisational performance when they were on stage.Besides, E Ze Youth Chu Opera Troupe's successful reasons and the problems in development are analyzed in this paper.
