The Effect Of Positive Mental Character On Online And Offline Altruistic Behavior In The Students Of Secondary Vacational School And The Intervention

Since the 1970 s,altruistic behavior is becoming the focus in social psychology,formed a relatively complete research system.In recent years,due to the continuous development of information technology,Internet has become an indispensable part of people’s life.Online altruistic behavior,as an extension of the altruistic behavior under the web space,is also gradually getting into the vision of the research field.Positive mental character is not only the product of the development of positive psychology,but also the target for modem education for mental health,marking the mental health education turning from a traditional pathological perspective into a positive one.Meanwhile,family environment,as one of the most influential micro-environmental elements,has been an important factor for adolescents’ growth and development which has an important influence on the psychological and behavioral development of teenagers.Therefore,based on the theory of Albert Bandura’s ternary interaction combining the individual factors and situational factors together,the author discuss the mechanism of altruistic behavior and online altruistic behavior.The study is consisted of two parts.Part one:a sample of 655 students from a secondary vocational school in Xiamen are studied on the relationship of positive mental character,family environment,and altruistic behavior,through the data analysis.On the basis of the theoretical model proved in part 1,a series of positive psychological course lasting for 4 weeks,1 lesson per week are designed for the 52 students,as a group of experiment.After that the difference of altruistic behavior online altruistic behaviors and positive mental character between experimental and control group are analyzed.The specific results are as follows:(1)There are significant differences of the altruistic behavior and online altruistic behavior between genders.(2)There are significant differences of positive character between genders.(3)There are significant relavent relationship between altruistic behavior,online altruistic behavior,family environment and positive mental character.(4)Positive character functions as a medium role between the family environment and altruistic behavior.(5)Positive psychological course is proved to be effective to improve the positive psychological character level,which also increases the occurrence of altruistic behavior in the secondary occupational school students.Finally,the shortcomings derived from the perspective of research methodology and design are concluded and the ideas for the future research are forecasted.
