The literary theory of Ban Gu has inherited the literary theoretical achievements since the early Han Dynasty,which epitomized the thought of the Han Dynasty's literary theories,and of which the Fu thought was the most significant achievement.Ban Gu's Fu thought was influenced by the Confucian school as well as inherited the existed theoretical results and summarized his own creation experience,which has provided certain reference and inspiration and exerted a far-reaching impact on the later development of the Fu thought.This paper consists of three chapters:That Ban Gu's Fu thought affected by the Confucian thought was generally a kind of development and promotion of the traditional Confucian literary view,based on which adding to his personal understanding of Han Fu and the creation experience's inspiration,he generated the Fu theoretical system with respect to exploiting Han Fu's original stylistic characteristics,emphasizing on the function of "ironic","praise" and expressing the ambition,regarding the Han Fu's artistic aesthetics as the main focus,which showed those features of centering on the "respecting for Confucianism and honoring classics",focusing on the literature's impact on the reality and Han Fu's functional return to the "praise-and-ironic" of traditional poetics,emphasizing on the influence of human's emotion on the literature expression.Ban Gu's Fu thought has started a new era of which the Han people began to view the Han Fu though the Confucian thought.It has also exerted a far-reaching impact on the Han Fu's advancement.Ban Gu's creation of Han Fu expressed his personal Fu thought.His Fu and Song works represented by "Liang Du Fu " generally reflected his praise of Han Dynasty,which implemented his functional claims on the combination of "ironic" and "praise"."You Tong Fu" was an attempt to express his feelings and ambitions,which reflected Ban Gu's emphasis on such kind of works and his yappy style of emotion expression."Liang Du Fu"elaborated Sima Xiangru's“heart of Fu school " as well as employed appropriate arrangement and fancy words to generate the exclamatory literary grace and the grand style.That "Liang Du Fu" conveyed a peaceful feeling,"You Tong Fu" is miserable without sad,"Da Bin Xi" is resentment without anger are all the result of Ban Gu's persistence in Confucian gentle moderation.Ban Gu's Han Fu creation and practice greatly reflected his Fu thought.There was one-to-one correspondence between his Fu thought and works.Han fu's creation and theory co-hosted and expressed Ban Gu's Fu thought.Ban Gu's Fu though was born in the complex Confucian Classics context in the beginning of Eastern Han Dynasty,which formed under the influence of Han Fu's grand contend and ironic thesis of Han Dynasty's governors represented by Emperor Wudi as well as on the basis of the Han people's tradition of discussing the Fu.It represented Han Fu's development level and exerted a profound effect.First and foremost,the significance of Ban Gu's Fu thought lies in its breakthrough and innovation based on the inheritance of previous Fu theories,taking Han Fu as an independent object,it employed the Confucian study perspective and method to take his research and lead the Han people to view Han Fu through the Confucian though,which started a new era of Han Fu's development;besides,Ban Gu proposed "the flow of the poem" theory aiming at the non-utility and pure research of Han Fu,which brought a new ground to the literary criticism field's monopoly of Confucian Classics at that time,provided an innovative perspective for the contemporary and later generations' research.At the same time,it enriched the realism's expression contend,established two kind of literary thought of criticism or praise for the future literature,and improved the Confucian literary theory;his successful Han Fu creation also promoted the popularization with respect to the parallelism and allusion and made a great contribution to the literary expression techniques' development and prosperous.
