Mencius was a famous thinker,politician,and educator during the Warring States period and was an important successor of Confucianism.His thought of “Dazhangfu” is an important part of Mencius' s entire ideological system,which provides references for later generations in personality cultivation.This thesis hopes to profoundly analyze Mencius' s “Dazhangfu” ideology,explore its relevance to contemporary education,explore its contemporary educational significance,and provide methodological inspiration for our country's education to cultivate socialist builders with a noble personality.The present thesis takes Mencius' s thought of “Dazhangfu” as the core research content,discusses its connotation,characteristics and ways of cultivating,and combines contemporary social status,so as to tap its contemporary educational significance.The thesis is divided into six chapters.The first chapter is the introduction part,which mainly discusses the purpose and significance of the research,the research ideas and methods,the research status at home and abroad,as well as the innovation and difficulties of the research.The second chapter mainly summarize Mencius' s thought of “Dazhangfu”,expounds the connotation of Mencius' s thought of “Dazhangfu”,analyzes the economic,political and cultural background of Mencius' s thought formation,and analyzes the theoretical source of Mencius' s thought of “Dazhangfu”--Confucius' ideal personality and its theoretical foundation--the theory of original goodness of human nature.The third chapter analyzes the core concepts and characteristics of Mencius' s thought of “Dazhangfu” separately,and thus has a detailed and in-depth understanding of Mencius' s thought of “Dazhangfu”.The fourth chapter focuses on the cultivating methods of Mencius' s thought of “Dazhangfu”,which include cultivating Mencius' s decisive self-cultivation approach and auxiliary external education approaches.The fifth chapter mainly studies the practice of Mencius' s thought of “Dazhangfu” and the significance of contemporary education.It lists some concrete examples to learn Mencius' s thought of “Dazhangfu” more intuitively.The contemporary educational significance of Mencius' s thought of “Dazhangfu” is the foothold of the present thesis.It mainly studies the educational significance of Mencius' s thought of “Dazhangfu” to contemporary people,from the aspects of establishing ideals and beliefs of modern people,perfecting modern independent personality,promoting the pursuit of modern people's values and cultivating modern people's patriotism.The sixth chapter is the concluding part of this thesis.It comprehensively generalizes and summarizes Mencius' s thought of “Dazhangfu”.The viewpoints of the present thesis generally cover the following three parts: Firstly,Mencius' s idea of “Dazhangfu” has a solid theoretical foundation.It is formed on the basis of the theory of “ original goodness of human nature” and therefore the ideal personality of “Dazhangfu” includes the inner cultivation of the four aspects of benevolence,righteousness,courtesy,and wisdom in the theory of “nature in goodness”.Secondly,the idea of “Dazhangfu” has a complete framework.Its profound connotations include benevolence,righteousness,rituals,ambition,and ambition.Its unique performance characteristics are personality independence,intrinsic justice,and philanthropy;and its practical training approaches include: personality independence,benevolence and righteousness,and benefiting the world.Third,the “Dazhangfu” thought has a profound educational significance for contemporary people.Through education,it sets a lofty ideal and conviction,perfects a noble independent personality,enhances the intrinsic value pursuit,and cultivates a noble patriotic spirit,so as to promote the common development of people and society.
