Taking over the middle school is an important part of The Communist Party of China (CPC) taking over cities,it is important to discuss the takeover of middle school,which can not only deepen the understanding of the Communist Party of China in the concept of taking over the city,but also provide a good perspective to explore the history of the reform of secondary education.The development of modern education in Wuhan area is rapid and has a great achievement. It has a unique geographical and historical personality in the transformation of secondary schools. Therefore, this paper take Wuhan ordinary high school from 1949 to 1952 as the study object, use the related documents as the main support,and use the literature research method,comparative analysis method and case study method to restore history of taking over and reforming Wuhan ordinary high school objectively;besides,analyze and evaluate the historical fact.The discussion from the following aspects:The first chapter is mainly about the process of taking over the old school.First of all,I make a brief analysis of the development of the ordinary high schools before liberation in Wuhan and the efforts made by various high schools in the liberation,to understand the background of taking over the middle schools; then, narrate the steps and methods of the Wuhan military control commission took over the public and private and temporary school,and summarize the experiences and lessons; finally,the paper introduces the government how to settle down the old people,unemployed intellectuals and young people out of school.The second chapter uses the case study method to investigate the transformation of the management mode of the ordinary middle school. The first section describes the changes in the administrative management of the secondary school from three commission system to the principal responsibility system and the establishment of democratic management. Then it introduces the import of new organization ,namely the Party organizations and the student union , in the students' learning and social activities.The third chapter mainly discusses the reform of the educational system, teaching method, curriculum and so on.The fourth chapter mainly discusses the reform of the school group. It is divided into three parts: the Party and the government's investigation of the political situation and the arrangement of the principal; the ideological reform and training of middle school teachers and the preferential treatment of the social status; the ideological education of the students.At the beginning of the founding of New China, the new regime pay attention to implement the guidelines and policies of the Party and the government in the process of taking over the ordinary high school,take the steps and methods of gradual improvement,correct the impatience which appears in the process timely,and give full play to the initiative and enthusiasm of teachers and students to make sure the work of everything in good order and well arranged.In the process of reformation of the old school,the Education Department of Wuhan carry on the targeted adjustment and the reform to all aspects of the middle school education according to the instructions of the Central Department and the specific circumstances of Wuhan area.In this way,the ordinary high school quickly recovered and developed,and the school management is on the right trick. Of course,there are some deviations in the reform,such as too much affected by the political movement,these lessons are worth of summarizing and reflecting.
