It is a common phenomenon that college students have academic procrastinati on. It will result in poor academic performance and negative emotions,even to af feet their health. Therefore, it is imperative to solve this problem. At present, Chi na's academic delay phenomenon is in the initial stage. Studies from chinese stud ents have shown that the causes of academic procrastination are complex and diff erent from foreign research results.The study of academic delay in China mainly i ncludes three aspects: The first is attributed to students themselves; The second is the characteristics of the task; The third are strategies and methods to deal with their studies.In addition, domestic and foreign intervention research is mainly use t he form of group counseling. From a certain point, it can contribute to intervenin g the academic procrastination. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to help ind ividuals to analyze the causes of procrastination. So they can have targeted interv ention in academic procrastination.In this study, seven students were intervened by the way of group counseli ng. At the same time, there will be a group to be compared with.The compared group will not accepet any intervention. Finally, the result will be got from the d ifference examiniation between intervention group and the non-intervention group.The results of the study showed that there was a significant difference (p <0.05) in the pre-study and posttest of intervention group members. There was a si gnificant difference (p < 0.05) after the academic delay of the non-intervention gr oup and the participants in the intervention group. There was no significant differ ence (p > 0.05) before the study of non-intervention group members was delayed.There was no significant difference (p > 0.05) after the participants' study was d elayed. Therefore, the intervention of group counseling for college students is effe ctive and timely.
