Research On Cultural Renaissance Of Confucian Patrarchal Clan And Rural Tourism Development In Juxi Village Of Pan'an County In Zhejiang Province

In this paper,Juxi Village,which is situated in southern Pan'an County of Jinhua in Zhejiang Province,is investigated in the field research.Attention is paid to cultural renaissance of Confucian patriarchal clan and rural tourism development in this village.At first,background of Juxi Village,major content and changes of Confucian patriarchal clan's cultures are introduced.Subsequently,process of the clan's cultural renaissance and status quo of rural tourism development in that village are particularly discussed.Besides,the author reflects on problems with the rural tourism development in that village,in order to put forward corresponding countermeasures and suggestions.To be specific,this paper is divided into six parts as follows:Part 1 is the introduction,where origin of topic,research objectives and methods are briefly introduced.Meanwhile,related academic research outcomes are summarized.Part 2 focuses on introducing background of Juxi Village,including its natural geographical environment,development history,changes to administrative subordination,population and means of livelihood.In Part 3,major content and historical changes of the Confucian patriarchal clan in Juxi Village,including its family tree,ancestral temple and rituals for worshipping ancestors,are illustrated.Part 4 describes process and specific content of the clan's cultural renaissance from three aspects,including repair of its ancestral temple,continuation of its family tree and restoration of ceremonies of Confucius.In addition,this part discusses roles of multiple forces such as the clan's descendants and Pan'an County's government in the cultural renaissance.After analyzing present tourism development in Juxi Village,Part 5 points out that although the tourism development has been put on the right track after three stages of development,there are still three problems,including grassroots organizations' limited competency for management,poor development/utilization of tourist resources and villagers' low level of participation as subjects.In light of these problems,corresponding countermeasures and suggestions are proposed.Part 6 is the conclusion.In this part,a summary is made on cultural renaissance of the Confucian patriarchal clan and tourism development in Juxi Village,which are considered to interact with each other.On one hand,tourism resources have been made available to the tourism development of this village with the cultural renaissance of the clan.On the other hand,the tourism development greatly supports the survival of the clan's cultures.Therefore,it is necessary to comprehensively develop rural tourism in that village by properly developing and taking advantage of the clan's cultures at present,in order that both of them can have beneficial interactions with each other.
