On The Artistic Features Of Nie Jun's Comics

Chinese original story comics were born in 1994.Nie Jun,counted as one of forerunners oin creating story comics,has been working for 20 years or more.His comics are featued by a personal unique style,with Chinese Culture as content and artistic beauty as flavor.His masterpiece "My Street","Zobo-Les tournesols de Monsieur Vincent" are well received in Chinese comic market and European comic market.The thesis attempts to analyze the artistic features of Nie Jun's comics,with five sections as follows.The thesis begins with an introduction to the rise,concepts and literature review of the study,including both reseach contents and methods.In Chapter One,the thesis explores into the external and internal reasons for Nie Jun's comics style changes,from the perspectives of cultural environment and creation history,by adopting a comparative study of China's comics development outlook and Nie Jun's comics creation life.In Chapter Two,the thesis goes on with study on drawing features of Nie Jun's comics,which involve both black-white and colour comics,in different flavor,arriving at a finding that his black-white comics display a unique artistic tension filled with "Mo taste"and a wealth of performance in lines while colour comics are in constant pursuit of watercolor brush touches.In Chapter Three,the thesis analyzes narrative styles of Nie Jun's comics from the perspectives of environment construction,characterization and camera work.In his narrative styles,expressionistic environment gives a layered and rich content,and characterization helps mould characters vivid,and quiet and calm camera language creates a poetic atmosphere.In Chapter Four,the thesis concludes with a general summary of Nie Jun's artistic features of comics,which are outcome of his clinging to creative principles,preserving its own independent identity,and with an introspection of Nie Jun's case study into the whole comics industry.
