Today, with the advent of Internet, many media must question themselves and adapt. It has already been the case for newspapers, radio, television; it is the same for comics which now pass from paper to the screen, and have to find new ways of reading. This is what Turbomedia is doing by referring to neighboring media, such as video games, animation, and more broadly the cinematic vocabulary.Turbomedia is a digital comic format, with simple narrative means, but not limited though. The narration and history are central in this format. It’s a “back to do less but do better”: telling with less but telling better. Moreover, Turbomedia is the result of an era, and was able to grow thanks to technological developments of the moment and a strong interest of netizens who relayed it. We will see its evolution through digital projects where hybridization can go further than just comics. We will talk of the arrival of the digital comic in the US, transmedia projects, television, but also potential opportunity to do animation and video games. Finally, an analysis of the media will also show that it is a form available on any screen(computer, phone, tablet), so accessible to all without distinction. The creation of Turbomedia being itself linked to the development of new technologies, we will see the relationship between digital storytelling and Internet’s evolution.
