As a distinctive scholar and critic in late Ming dynasty,Lu Shi Yong didn’t attach himself to any other groups;And he was independent on thoughts and had his own point of views on many aspects.His theory of poetics presents a combination of restoring ancient ways and anti-restoring ancient ways;and his theory also presents a feature of coexistence of “advocate virtues” with“change myself”.This feature,which is a dual-thoughts trait of observing traditions and departing from traditions,is a demonstration on poetics.At the same time it is his attempt to absorb every advantage of theories from other groups,to correct the misleading part of all kinds of poetic creations,to find new way for Chinese classical poem which is in difficult position by virtue of special poetic perspectives and ideality of the beauty of poems when he was facing the decline of the poetic circles in late Ming dynasty.Lu’s perspectives and his brilliant theories on poetics are presented concentrative in the book Shi Jing general.He considered “true emotions” and “lasting appeal” as the two most important elements of appreciation of the beauty in poetics,and he treated them as the essential demand for creating good poems.He not only advocated the originality,but the regulations.In this respect of the history of poetry,he advocated a “Dai Jiang” theory of “Dai Bu Ru Gu”,and he completely constructed the regulation of “Dai Jiang” poem within the book The book Of songs.In the critical practice of concrete poems,Lu considered “Shen Yun”,“Zhen Su”,“Ya Dao Zhong He” as the standards of criticism,demanding the poems should achieve the standards of good appeals and the combination of the emotions and the conditions.He also pursued the nature and the true elements,resisted the artificial way.He was fond of “Zhong He” and “Ya Dao”.And through this Lu made criticism on the poems and the poets.In the practice of Lu’s criticism and poetic theories,the position of restoring ancient ways and the innovative methods are combined with each other constructively,structuring a beautiful and spiritual scenery in poetics,at the same time providing a new possibility for Chinese classical poems to get rid of the difficult position. |
