A Report On Simulated Consecutive Interpreting Of Malala Yousafzai's Address At The UN Youth Assembly

This report describes the author 's simulated English-Chinese consecutive interpreting of Malala Yousafzai's Address at the UN Youth Assembly.The simulation process was recorded and transcribed into texts.The report depicts the pre-task preparation,strategies of interpreting and the difficulties the author faced during the simulation process.The author believes that the strategy of conversing parts of speech should be adopted in order to achieve a smooth interpreting goal.In the end,the author reflects on gains of the consecutive interpreting practice,analyzes the limitations of the study especially for background information searching,and offers some suggestions for further practical and theoretical research of interpreting.
