A Study On The Belief Of 'Medical God' Of Dali Bai Minority

The religious belief of Bai minority in Dali is always been concerned by academia,especially those studies on the Buddhism,the Taoism,the Benzhu worship have acquired a lot of research findings.But there is no the special topic study on the “Medical God” of Dali Bai minority.So,this study of the belief of “Medical God” of Dali Bai minority will be a larger development space,and as well has the academic value of exploiting a new research field.In the study,“Medical God” is the research object,which is defined as a series of trade gods who are in charge of childbearing,treatment,and health,and are from various religions about Buddhism,Taoism,folk religion,etc.And it is divided into General Medical God and Specialized Medical God.The study has collected a large number of first-hand information through the fieldwork.Meanwhile,this paper has taken shape with the text of local literature material and the relevant research achievements at home and abroad.The content is divided into five parts.The first part is introduction of this paper.It outlines the topic background and meaning,literature review,research ideas and methods,innovations.And it also defines the key concepts and gives a brief introduction about the fieldwork.The first chapter introduces the origin of the belief of “Medical God” of Dali Bai minority with the text and the oral transcription of local literature material,fairy tale,and folk festivals.The second chapter introduces the kinds of “Medical God” of Dali Bai minority,which is divided into General Medical God and Specialized Medical God.The third chapter lists some representative cases of ritual activities about the above two.The fourth chapter mainly discusses the social cultural functions of the belief of “Medical God” of Dali Bai minority with the theoretical guidance of the function theory,the "Religious-Cultural View","social culture perspective" and "biological culture.At the last,the study gives three findings.To start with,the “Medical God” of Dali Bai minority is expressed as diversity of religious background,which includes the Buddhism,the Taoism,and the folk beliefs.Secondly,the status of "Medicine God" is the head,but some others are the adjunct,which is even more and the systems of belief is independent.In addition,look at the network of the belief,the belief of “General Medical God” can almost be the across-village.And the other bases on the village as a unit.To make a long story short,firstly,the belief of "Medical God" of Dali Bai minority is the irrational refraction that the Bai minority faces the problems of childbearing and illnesses.Secondly,it is the way and lens that the Bai minority meet childbearing,treatment,and health.Finally,it is created of the reason why the Bai minority maintains the physical and mental health,and adapt to the environment.This belief is not only an extension of the biological,also is a reality of balanced biology.
