As the most basic and common way of interpreting,liaison interpreting requires interpreters to act with accuracy within a short time without the aid of notes and the like,so as to interpret the words from the speaker and to attain the purpose of interpreting.This thesis is a report on liaison interpreting.The description of this liaison interpreting project(hereinafter referred as Project)is the Dinner Reception on Polish National Day and the Visits to China ’s agricultural wholesale market by Polish business delegation.This report just selects some of the practice interpreting texts for elaborating the barriers of this liaison interpreting in order to put forward the interpreting tactics under the guidance of Skopos Theory.This thesis is the report on liaison interpreting on the basis of real case which is called Project taken by the author.The motive of this thesis is mainly to offer the overall and general introduction to Liaison interpreter activity on the basis of the Project,through which the author put forward the coping tactics in liaison interpreting in the guidance of Skopos Theory as its theory basis.To gain the aim of coping tactics during in liaison interpreting,the author makes the case study in the thesis as the important part.Through this report,the author elaborates on the features of liaison interpreting which pose barriers the interpreter encounters on the basis of the analysis of real task as the focus point.To handle these barriers,the author has put forward coping tactics such as paraphrasing and explanation,amplification division,omission,imitating and consultation.And the reflection on this real interpreting task is also made by the author.As the most basic form of interpreting,liaison interpreting requires high capability on interpreters and there are a number of barriers in the interpreting process due to the author’s lack of experience.It is sincerely hoped that this report can provide some references for the newcomers of interpreting in real practice and liaison interpreting practice in particular so as to better deal with the interpreting practice.
