Analysis On Composing Features And Singing Of Gao Wei Jie’s Three Pieces Of Yuanqu

Professor Gao Weijie,a well-known contemporary Chinese composer,has played a massive role in the development of Chinese art songs,with a focus primarily on ancient Chinese poems.Throughout his time composing Chinese art songs,not only did he pick up Western composing techniques,but also a large number of Chinese music elements as well.In 2012,Professor Gao Weijie completed his creation of "The Yuan Dynasty Art Song(three songs)".2 years later,on April 24,2014 at the Beijing Concert Hall,the "Long Sheng Hua Yun-The Masterpiece Concert",blossomed into a successful performance.From both a creative and performance point of view,this work earned itself a high research value.This paper is a typical representation of Chinese art songs in the most recent years.The album is divided into three vocal works along with an essay.Firstly,only through analyzing both the creation process and quality of the vocal performances,can we begin to understand the more recent developments toward Chinese art songs and ancient poetry.Secondly,exploring the literary value of the work,along with its creative features,singing techniques,and methods may also allow us to discover the true ins and outs of Chinese art and ancient poetry in this modern era.It is essential that we study these artistic characteristics and singing styles to accumulate a more precise theoretical knowledge and practical experience for students participating in future music concerts and other artistic practices.
