Comparative Study About Minimalist Design In Japan And Chinese "Blank" Design

Japanese minimalist design and "blank" design in China,both in art and spirit pursuit have many point,namely the simple and natural design elements to achieve "more with less","out of thin air" artistic effect,convey the unique Oriental national spirit.However,in the development of modern design between China and Japan,Japan has gradually formed its own national characteristics of the minimalist design style."Blank" design in China are still at the exploratory stage of a pending consummates,the urgent need to form their own style.Therefore,it is necessary from the aspects of background,cultural and artistic performance of Japanese minimalist design and a comparative study of "blank" design in China,unearthed from the "blank" design can be a part of the learning and reference.This article consists of four parts.The first part of Japan's minimalist design as one of the main body of research,a clear definition of the concept of minimalism,integration,the background of the formation of Japan's minimalist design was described,in the performance of traditional culture,and by analyzing the Japanese designer branded zai,tanaka,a light and tadao ando,and their works,this paper discusses the characteristics and connotation of Japanese minimalist design.The second part to China's "blank" design as the main body,briefly explains the concept of "blank" and from the aspects of Confucianism,Buddhism,Taoism three explore thoughts origin of "blank".On the basis of the analysis of "blank" in Chinese traditional culture and art performance in the design,the designer Alan chan from China,kan and pei's works of art and design style of "blank" design in China.Finally,by comparing induction,and summarizes the development of China "blank" in the design of a reference and revelation of the part,and for the future development direction of art design.
