Since the new century, the Chinese mainland crime film as a new type of film, inboth commercial and art have been a certain success. Compared with the traditionalcrime film, Chinese crime film broke the opposite relationship between the police andthe bandits, showing new features in content and form. In this paper, there are the fouraspects of the new century, the Chinese mainland crime films. First, this paper classifyChinese, crime movie characters into the image, the image of the police and thecriminal victim image of three types, respectively analyzes the conservative andradical of the police, the criminal complexity and contradiction,the victim as theexistence value of the forces of the third parties. Secondly, this paper analyzes theChinese mainland crime films on the theme of the traditional values of themainstream of the development of today's society, reflection and criticism of China'snational conditions, legal thinking. The third, this paper expounds the twocharacteristics of the Chinese mainland crime movies, including the overall narrativeof the open and the combination of art and commerce. Finally, this paper discusses theimage style, Chinese crime film from the image ontology perspective, Chinese crime film showing the overall realism style, specific to different movies especiallypersonalized photography. In the growing diversity of the Chinese mainland filmmarket, the crime film with its profound themes, realistic style, diverse creativetechniques occupy an increasingly important position.
