The Relationship Between Female Compulsory Drug Addicts' Parenting Pattern, Self-concept, And Treatment Motivation Tendency

Drug addiction has becoming a thorny problem in the worldwide.In recent years,the drug problem is emerging in rural areas as well as in small and medium-sized cities in China.The age of first contact with drug is getting lower and lower.The number of female drug addicts is increasing year by year.�Physical detoxification is easy to break,while psychological detoxification is hard to clean�,which makes drug treatment become a worldwide problem.Early physiological detoxification can be achieved effectively by other drugs or without drug.And the detoxification rate can reach 100%.However,the relapse rate is over 90%.So the early physiological detoxification success doesn't mean the success of abstinence.The women's health is directly related to that of the whole nation.The increase of female drug addicts should be paid more attention.Nowadays,the ways to reduce the relapse rate are positively discussed all over the word.The mental health and psychological intervention of drug users in the process of getting rid of drug addiction have been paid more and more attention.Drug users often grow up in the similar environment and have similar personality tendency.The self-concept of drug users is more negative than that of normal people.This also explains why drug users often choose to escape and behave in negative patterns when faced with setbacks.Past research shows that parenting style and motivation are closely related with self-conception.However,how the family rearing pattern impacting on the drug addicts' motivation remains to be unknown.On the basis of reading and analyzing the literature,this study is aimed at the mental health problems of women with compulsory detoxification to explore the relationship between family rearing patterns,self-concept and motivation of drug addicts.The study was carried out in Shandong Female Compulsory Isolated Detoxification Center.Removing severe organic disease and mental disorders,485 subjects were selected.The TennesseeSelf-Concept Scale,the Egma Minnen av Bardndosnauppforstran,and the Abstinence Motivation Questionnaire are used to measure them.The result shows:(1)The working female compulsory drug abstainers' total score of self-concept,father's feeling and understanding,as well as mother's feeling and understanding are stronger than those of jobless female compulsory drug abstainers.(2)Highly-education female compulsory drug abstainers' family self-concept,father's feeling and understanding,mother's feeling and understanding and mother's preference are higher than those with poor education,while their father's punishment,father's over interference,father's deny and refuse as well as mother's deny and refuse are lower than poorly-educated abstainers.(3)Female compulsory drug abstainers parents' emotional warmth and understanding can positively predict self-concept and self-concept can positively predict motivation of drug abstention,Self-concept mediates the relationship between parental emotional warmth and understanding and motivation of drug abstention completely.
