Music education aims to train professional music teachers.But we pay more attention to train professional knowledge skills of the music teachers and ignored their “liberation and growth of the mind” for a long time.And this is precisely the basic mission of higher education.In the modern education of colleges and universities' teachers,the important way of doing this basic kind of education mission is "general education".As a kind of educational ideal,is received considerable attention in our country's higher education in the recent ten years.This general education has attracted much higher education in concern itself is a kind of signal,This phenomenon shows that the understanding of higher education is undergoing some changes in today's Chinese society,"general education" changes in people's mind year by year,and its role in the education is gradually improving."General education" is not only a kind of modern education concept and a way of education,it also involves in a tradition associated with it.And there is a more profound tradition of "liberal education " behind it.Based on "liberal education",this article analyze the related problems of our country's music teacher education in the perspective of "general education".And the discussion of this article points to an important issue in music teacher education,that is the lack problem of "educational intension" in today's music teacher education.This thesis is divided into five parts.The first part is the introduction.In this part,we describe the reasons why to select this subject,and we presents the main problems,research significance,research object and method,the current research progress and so on.In the first chapter,we describe the history of "liberal education" and the relationship between liberal education and curriculum.And we interpret the connotation of "liberal education".In the second chapter,we set the music teachers' education of China Conservatory of Music and Capital Normal University as the objects to analysis current situation of the courses in the two universities.In the third chapter,we discuss the training objectives,contents and implementation of music teacher education in the two universities and we points out some omissions and deficiencies in music teacher education in our country.In the last chapter,we discuss the question of “educational” original position of music teacher education in our country,and put forward we should continue to focus on the development of the "people" in high school music education.In conclude,this paper holds that we should pay attention to the lack of "education" original position in the current music teacher education in our country,reform the narrow "professional" music education in colleges and universities' music education,and really promote the education of music teachers in colleges and universities to realize the purpose of the implementation of the people's "comprehensive and harmonious development".
