College general education is for all college students,not to professional,professional training purposes,beyond utilitarian and practical humanistic education,,focusing on "education" rather than "teaching".Its purpose is to cultivate the humanities of college students,improve the personality and good character,creating a great vision,through meteorology,liberal arts and beautiful feelings of a complete human education.The implementation of music in colleges and universities is an important means of the implementation of general education in colleges and universities,it is an important way to improve the quality of college students in the implementation of quality education.Through the music public education can not only improve the aesthetic ability and cultural literacy of college students,but also can cultivate college students noble moral sentiment,excellent quality,inspire wisdom,open up to thinking,to promote the healthy development of physical and mental,in order to achieve the purpose of improving the overall quality of college students.It can be seen that the education of music public optional curriculum is the important task of cultivating college students ’humanistic accomplishment and comprehensive quality,which has irreplaceable role in the cultivation of college students’ comprehensive quality.This paper explores the implementation of the electoral courses in colleges and universities in the general education field by investigating the case schools.This paper investigates and analyzes the status of music public optional curriculum of Hebei University of Economics and Business by case study,action research,questionnaire survey,interview and observation,and finds out its problems in curriculum setting,course content and teacher’s equipment.Through the analysis of the results of the case study,the paper puts forward the countermeasures to improve the teaching of music public optional curriculum in colleges and universities.The survey is the Hebei University of Economics and Economics School of Economics and Management 15 accounting,computer science and technology,international trade,financial management,human resources management,English 6professional 203 students and some music elective teachers.Which through the studentonline survey and personal interviews,group interviews to understand the basic situation of students,the basic situation of students’ music quality,music elective elective courses and music elective class teaching situation.After finishing the analysis of these data,it is further understood that the students are directly influenced by the gender,the growth environment and the educational level,and directly affect the purpose and effect of the study,but also learned that the music public optional curriculum in the curriculum and curriculum content arrangements did not take into account the student’s music literacy and acceptance,resulting in a single curriculum,the course content is broad and rough,did not really play the role of music education class phenomenon;The survey of teachers of music public optional curriculum mainly adopts the form of semi-structured interview.Through the interview,we can understand the age,education,title,graduation institution and music course of music elective teachers,and reflect the teachers’ Front line music elective teacher helpless;Through the individual in-depth music class classroom,observe the teacher’s entire teaching process,classroom atmosphere and student lectures,so that the teaching content is more complex,away from the students living far,the student class situation is not ideal.Through the above survey results analysis to further enhance the accuracy of the paper.With the continuous introduction of the relevant policies of the state to improve the quality education and art education of college students,the implementation of the curriculum of art education in colleges and universities is also advancing.The development of music public optional curriculum in colleges and universities also ushered in the development opportunities,but in the course of implementation There are still many problems.The author is standing on the angle of a course implementer and observer,analyzes the problems existing in the elective course of college music.That is,the nature of the music class is not clear,the lack of full-time teachers with the curriculum is not enough rationality,the lack of special teaching materials and regulatory institutions imperfect.At the same time put forward countermeasures and suggestions: Change the concept of full understanding of the nature of music education,to strengthen the music elective class full-time teacher training,pay attention to the popularity of music public optional curriculum content,strengthen the music practice,change the elective system and improve the music public optional curriculum supervision and management countermeasures and suggestions.
