Cultural industry is the carrier of culture,the cultural inheritance and innovation needs the support of the cultural industry.Facing with increasingly fierce international competition,culture industry has become a new territory that all countries are scrambling to compete for.However,China's culture industry is still in the "short board" in the global development competition.How to improve the international competitiveness of cultural industry in our country has become a realistic problem we need to discuss.Using Michael E.Porter's "diamond model" theory and adopting the method of quantitative analysis,this paper calculates the culture industry's international competitiveness index for China,United States,Britain,Japan,South Korea and India.Results show that the cultural industry competitiveness in our country mainly depends on cultural products,ignoring the improving of cultural services competitiveness;And each type of cultural product make a great difference in the international competitiveness.Paper selects four representative specific indicators from the four basic elements influencing the cultural industry of our country: production factor,demand factor,enterprise strategy,related and supporting industries,empirical analysing of the basic element's influence of the cultural industry in our country by establishing model.The results showed that the increase of per capita GDP plays a most important role in the aspect of promoting international competitiveness of cultural industry;Junior college graduates and college graduates also has an important influence for improving the international competitiveness of cultural industry in our country.Finally,according to the international competitiveness index and the empirical analysis result,the paper puts the corresponding suggestion in order to improve the international competitiveness of cultural industry in our country.
