Research On The Relationship Among Comprehensive Ability Of Implication Beyond The Lines,Interpersonal Relationship And Mental Health Of College Students

Implication Beyond the Lines(IBL) means that the speakers or the writers not directly expressed but implicated in the words. The hearers or readers need to base on the literal meaning and combine different communication contexts to reasoning out the implication. Comprehensive ability of the IBL(CAIBL) is the ability that the individual can understand the speaker's or writer's meaning by the literal meaning and the communication context. Interpersonal relation refers to the mental connection which built during the interpersonal communication. Mental health is the individual's internal coordination and adaptation to the external environment, with it the individual can explore the meaning of the life actively. Mental health embodies in the behavior that actively interacting with the world, and also embodies in the personality trait which relatively stable and dynamic developing.The study adopts CAIBL test for college student that compiling by the researcher,College Student Interpersonal Relationships Assessment Scale and The Mental Health Scale with A Healthy Personality Orientation for College Students. The subjects are 382 college students. The study try to find the differences of students' CAIBL,their interpersonal relation and their mental health in the demographic variables,in and the relationships in them. The study found that:(1)College students' CAIBL is well as a whole. There are significant differences in gender, family sources, grades. There are no significant differences in Only-child or not and in love or not.(2)College student has a good interpersonal relationship,while there are still a few students have interpersonal problems, in which communication and friendship problem are the major problem. There are significant differences in gender, family sources, grades, in love or not.(3)The college students' mental health is well as a whole. There are significant differences in gender, family sources, grades, in love or not.(4)There are significant positive correlations in college students'CAIBL,interpersonal relationship and mental health. Higher CAIBL then better interpersonal relationship and more mental health.(5)The interpersonal relationship play a part mediating role in college students'CAIBL and mental health. CAIBL can directly impact the mental health, and can also through the relationships to affect mental health.
