Economic globalization has promoted more frequent economic and cultural exchanges between countries,and the importance of translation is increasing.However,many low-quality translations do not play their role in communicating.Especially in the case of professional text,the effect of “translationese” is quite obvious,which make it difficult to convey the original meaning of the text.This practice report explores the problem of “translationese” in financial texts.The text with problem of “translationese” will not only affect effective understanding between the two sides,but also have serious impact on the use of the target language.Therefore,in order to improve the quality of translation work,translators must try to avoid “translationese”.The report is divided into four chapters: Chapter 1 describes the translation task,including the background and significance of the task as well as some related preparation works.The second chapter introduces problems encountered in the process of translation,that is,the “translationese” of financial text.The third chapter is the key part.It puts forward solutions to the problem introduced in the second chapter.Combined with cases analysis of long sentence,passive sentence and negative form,summarizing translation techniques to avoid “translationese”.The fourth chapter is the summary of translation practice.This part introduces the thinking and experience of this translation practice.To sum up,the translator must summarize translation strategies and techniques of these texts through the translating of the financial text.So that we can avoid the influence of the “translationese” and improve the quality of the translation,which can provide help to financial professionals and lovers.
