With the continuing rising of Chinese international status and the heating of Chinese fever,the problems of “Three Concerns”(teacher education,textbook development and pedagogical research)are getting worse too,among which the most serious one is teacher resources problem.To improve the rapid and healthy development of international promotion of Chinese,the overseas native teacher resources construction should be strengthened,thus the Chinese teachers、teaching methodology and text books could be nationalized and localized.So far,many surveys and investigations have been conduct,analyses and solutions of existing problems were also proposed by researchers,while the study of native Chinese teacher resources in Sri Lanka is still blank.As the relationship between China and Sri Lanka becoming closer,the increasing number of Chinese learner requires more Chinese teachers,and the best way to solve this problem is strengthening the training of native Chinese teacher so the teacher resources could be localized.The results of this paper are as below:The first part is introduction.The background,goal and point of research were introduced,the study achievement and development history of Chinese teaching in Sri Lanka were summarized,and introduce the investigation purpose and method.The second part requests of localization of Chinese teacher in Sri Lanka were analyzed,thus theoretical basis and research methods of this paper were proposed.The third part is summary and analysis of Sri Lanka native Chinese teachers’ investigation.Questionnaires,telephone interviews,face-to-face interviews and class views of 40 native Chinese teachers in Sri Lanka were conducted,and situation of school,textbook using,teaching,training and basic information of teachers were analyzed,thus the current situation and problems were concluded.The forth part is solutions and recommendations.Corresponding solutions and recommendations of these problems were proposed from both macroscopic and microscopic view,which including strengthening the overseas native teacher resources construction,promoting the localization of Chinese,establishing the evaluation systemof native Chinese teacher and optimizing the training system of native teacher,and also,the school should treat the work of Chinese popularization properly and the teacher should understand the profession of teaching correctly.The study of this paper could contribute to the construction of native Chinese teacher resources.The fifth part is conclusions.Based on the results of questionnaires and interviews,the localization degree of Chinese teacher,textbook and teaching methods in Sri Lanka were analyzed and concluded.
