| Fang Congyi is one of the famous calligraphers and painters in the Yuan dynasty.He is good at writing poems,calligraphy and traditional Chinese ink & wash painting,which is second to none in the meantime.In this research,We will discuss his calligraphy intensively and systematically by review literatures about him as followings:In the introduction part,we show the research status of Fang Congyi,summing up all the research findings by former scholars,the problems that haven’t been solved,our research methods and new ideas.In chapter one,we analyze the politics and culture in the Yuan dynasty,as well as the development of Taoism.Starting from this point,we do the research on Fang Congyi’s style,idea and taste on calligraphy.The second chapter mainly introduces the life experiences of Fang Congyi,namely the alias,the dates of birth and death,the experience of Tao,and the origin of teacher-student relationship.His connotation of hisalias are closely related to Taoism,and Taoism experience and origin of teacher-student relationship produced important influence on his process of creation.The third chapter mainly studies Fang Congyi’s works referring to ancient Official script and Official script.This chapter,firstly,discuss the ancient Official script,ba fen script and Official script,and then make a concrete analysis of Official script.Since the most exquisite character for Fang Congyi calligraphy,his thoughts on the calligraphy have profoundly influence the calligraphy field in the late Yuan and early Ming dynasty.Therefore,this chapter,orderly,discuss Fang’s achievement of Official script and its status in Fang’s contemporary,the representative works of ancient Official script and Official script,the characters and esthentic features of Official script and its influence on the subsequent thoughts and theories of li.In chapter four,it follows the way analyzed in chapter three and focus on his Zhangcao.In chapter five,we focus on the little influence relatively by his writing style such as Regular script、Running script、and Ancient Seal character.We discuss the structure of his characters,the using of his brush,the style and the taste. |
