A Research Of The Discourse Function And Subjectivity About The Particles "O、YO、LO"

In this paper,we study the non modal particles "O(哦),YO(哟),LO(咯)" and investigate the discourse function and subjectivity about them.The full text is divided into seven chapters.The first chapter is an introduction,which briefly introduces the reasons,the purpose,the significance,the research methods and corpus of the thesis.The second chapter is literature review,introducing the classification and function of the particles.This chapter carry a detailed review of subjectivity and introduce the research of "O(哦),YO(哟),LO(咯)".The third,four and five chapter are the main body of this thesis,studying the discourse function and subjectivity of the modal particle "O(哦),YO(哟),LO(咯)".In the study of discourse function,we have to contain a lot of " O(哦),YO(哟),LO(咯)"video corpus transcription,Through these modal words we summarize the discourse function.At the same time,we use the method of phonetic experiment to express the pitch of the modal particles under different discourse functions.In the study of subjectivity,we investigate the expression of emotion in subjective mood of "O(哦),YO(哟),LO(咯)",both considering the perspective and understanding.The subjective modality of "O(哦),YO(哟),LO(咯)"are in a specific description.The modal meaning of the modal particle "O(哦)" is to take care of the subjective feelings of the listener,and to express the content by the attitude of considering and giving rise to attention of the listener.The modal meaning of "O(哦)"has five kings:drawing attention,praising,proud,joking and identification.The modal meaning of the modal particle "YO(哟)"is that the speaker is very confident in his assertion and pays attention to the expression of his feelings.There are three kinds of modal meanings of "YO(哟)":to draw attention,to refute and to express their dissatisfaction.The modal meaning of the modal particle "LO(咯)"is the result of the speaker’s reckless determination,which is to be sure of the content of the expression,without too much explanation.There are three types of modal meaning of "LO(咯)":drawing attention,declare refuting and willful.The sixth chapter makes a comparison between the discourse function and the subjectivity of the modal particle "O(哦),YO(哟),LO(咯)".The modal particle "O(哦)"and "YO(哟)"have the function of pause marking,information highlighting and discourse easing.Modal particle "LO(咯)" has the function of indicating the fact and marking the question.In the aspect of subjectivity,the modal particles " O(哦),YO(哟),LO(咯)"are also different,which is closely related to their core modal meaning.Chapter seven is the conclusion and outlook.It summarizes the conclusions of this paper,meanwhile,the demerits of this work as well as the future trends of this topic would be demonstrated.
