Investigation Of Zhang Shang Ying’s Political Activities Of The Late Northern Song Dynasty

The struggle between the two parties in late Northern Song Dynasty,date from Wang An Shi Reform in the Shen Zong period(1068-1077).the political controversy about reform continued to Zhe Zong Yuan You(1086-1094)、Shao Sheng period,(1094-1098)became battle cronies,To Hui Zong Chong Ning period(1102-1106),it has deteriorated to an extreme way--Yuan You Dang Jin.At the beginning of Xi Ning,Zhang Shang Ying was recommended by Zhangdun to the reform group,was deeply caught in the party struggle through the period of Shen Zong、Zhe Zong、Hui Zong.he became an officer in November of A.D.1071.to the time he was promoted as the prime minister in June of A.D.1110,his career was very difficult.He worked in politics for over 40 years,but the time he worked as an officer in the imperial court was about 5 years,he was repeatedly removed to minor provincial offices for the rest of the time.He was brave and loyal、never afraid of telling the truth,but also hanked after fame and gain,or have the courage to aggressive;He was unavoidable attacked by the anti-political-reform,but he also had disagreement with the political-reform at the same groupe.All of these are connected to the part struggles,which came from the literati politics.Therefore,this thesis is based on the struggles of the party to study Zhang Shang Ying’s political activities,to achieve a double goal that to learn the party struggle from an individual and simultaneously know a person from the party struggle.
