A Comparative Study On The Differences Of Effects On Spreading Japanese And Karean TV Dramas In China

"Japanophile" and "koreanophile" has become a phenomenon in China,and the spread of Japanese and South Korean films and TV dramas in China is undoubtedly the an important cause of such phenomenon.But with the social development,"Japanophile" has gradually become less and less,while "koreanophile" has become more and more,including not only the young but also the middle-aged.Such kind of difference is an important reason of this comparative study of Japanese and South Korean films and TV dramas.As a new type of mass media,Films and TV is a widest-spreading mass art.Film and TV productions have also become goods in cultural industry with enterprises and commercial productions and great benefits.In Japan,TV series are considered at its beginning as a commodity,an entertainment and popular arts,and grows with the development of the economy.The coming of Korean TV series into the Chinese mainland market in the late 1990 s reflects the commercialized operational characteristics of cultural industry in an international market.It is undoubtedly of academic value and practical significance to carry out such a comparative study of the spread of Japanese and South Korean films and TV dramas in China.The “hotness “of Japan and South Korean film and TV drama spread in China,,and the current "coldness" of Japanese TV dramas and the constant "hotness" of Korean dramas has constituted an intriguing phenomenon in Chinese pop culture.This thesis begins with the analysis of the differences between "Japanophile" and "koreanophile" and then analyzes the causes of such differences in various stages including the ideology,diplomatic relations,economic and cultural policies and regulations,the content of communication,the communication strategy and the audience acceptance,and finally puts forward effective strategies and enlightenment in the cross-cultural context.This thesis focuses on the analysis of the causes of the differences in the spreading of Japanese and Korean TV series in China,which could lay a foundation for a more valuable revelation and strategy for the cross-cultural transmission of Chinese and Japanese films.Japanese and South Korean film and TV drama spread in China has promoted the international exchanges of films and televisions and the cultural exchanges among China,Japan and South Korea,and also brought reflections from a deeper level of our Chinese film and TV drama and popular culture development,cultural communications and exchanges between China and other countries,and the operation of international cultural industry and so on,which highlights the value of this thesis.
