Chang'an,the capital of the Tang Dynasty,is an important stage where intellectuals travel and interview for official, make communication in party.Through the poetry of the Tang Dynasty,we can see the ancient Chang'an urban style and features. This paper makes a comparative study on the Chang'an poems of Wang Wei and Du Mu,trying to show the social style of Chang'an in different periods, and demonstrate the diachronic changes in the past more than 100 years from the prime Tang Dynasty to the late Tang Dynasty. The introduction mainly defines the scope of Wang Wei and Du Mu's Chang'an poetry, and examines the current situation of research,as well as clears about the research purpose and method. The first chapter is the comparison of urban landscape in Chang'an,from four aspects of Chang'an panorama, palace building, private garden and religious building. On the basis of the full study of Wang Wei and Du Mu 's Chang'an poems, this paper attempts to restore the urban landscape of Chang'an and depict the living space of Chang'an people in the Tang Dynasty by supplementing the corresponding historical and geographical data. The second chapter is the comparison of daily life in Chang'an.It is not only the epitome of Wang Wei and Du Mu's daily life, but also the picture of the lives of ordinary people.Chang'an has never been a pile of empty cold buildings, because it has a beating pulse and a fresh life, thanks to the joys and sorrows of the Chang'an residents. The third chapter is the comparison of Wang Wei and Du Mu's Chang'an complex. On the one hand, they both have a strong desire to make contributions in the capital, and this is what we refer to their complex of Changan. On the other hand,as a man who born in Chang'an and grew up in Chang'an but works out for many years,Du Mu's Chang'an complex is also reflected in the deep thoughts for his native land.
