Wang Chang, as an important poet in the middle of the Qing dynasty, writed a lot of poems, more than 2000, and was known as one of the "Wu Zhong Qi Zi",meanwhile, affected many people who followed him to learn how to write a poem. My paper started at the discussion of the poetics of Wang Chang, running through the creation and the activities of edit and hope to know his advocate more comprehensive and deeper.There are three parts in my paper. The first chapter is about the thoughts about what a poem is and how to create one including three parts his poetics, creation point and methodology summarizing from the letters and prefaces written by Wang Chang. The second one pays close attention to the poetry, and from the more than 2000 poems,we can find there is a clear clue,his poetics,through the whole process of writing, and make a great difference in the tendency of creation and his unique arts features from other's poems. The last chapter is about the edit of the Qingpu Poetic Memoir and Huhai Poetic Memoir. From the analysis of the two books, we can still find his poetics there and the two books give him a good chance to express his view about how to write a poem. The thoughts about poem is running through the whole paper, meanwhile the another two parts about his creation and edit make the thoughts reflected and extended.
