Interpreting Practice Report: 2016 Seminar On Hybrid Maize For Developing Countries In Yuan Long Ping High-Tech Agriculture Co., Ltd

This interpreting practice report is based on 2016 Seminar on Hybrid Maize for Developing Countries in Yuan Longping High-Tech Agriculture Co.,Ltd(Longping High-Tech).During the program,the author worked as the training assistant and coordinator for 19 officials from 8 countries,and took responsibility for the interpreting of their daily activities in China,including tours,trainings and conferences.The report extracts the speeches of Ms.Zhou Dan,vice CEO of Longping High-Tech,and the training courses of other lecturers,using the scripts transcribed from the recording.The report consists of four chapters.The first chapter is a brief introduction of this interpreting task,including the introduction of the seminar,as well as job description.The second chapter is the process of translating,including the preparation before interpreting,the process of class interpreting and liaison interpreting.The third chapter is the case study,the main part of the report,in which the author analyzed the problems and corresponding solutions,interpreting strategies and skills based on the author's experience,and wrote the revised interpreting versions for comparing with original one.The fourth chapter is the conclusion part,highlighting the significance of preparation before interpreting,as well as suggestions for the next interpreters.
