With the acceleration of China's urbanization process,a lot of opportunities appear in the city,along with the influx of a large number of farmers,and their children also entered the city schools,for this part of group we called the " the two generation of migrants ",also known as the " migrant children ".Studies have shown that in school-age children have a collective sense of belonging is a significant factor affecting their growth,the key to their development stage is the formation of a strong sense of belonging in the community.Therefore,the development of migrant children's sense of belonging to the school is very important,due to the degree of students' sense of school belonging.This study is on the background of school environment to investigate the perceived social support,collective self-esteem and school belonging of migrant children,analysis of the relationship between the three,and explore the role of collective self-esteem in understanding the social support and school belonging.we selects two suburban primary school in Yuhua District Changsha city,a total of twelve classes of students from grade four to grade two(11±2 years old)are selected to conduct an anonymous study,and AMOS software is used to construct the structural equation model to analyze themediating effect.We get the following conclusions:1.There is significant difference between migrant children and non-migrant children in understanding social support,collective self-esteem and school belonging;2.On the sense of school belonging of migrant children,there are significant differences in school type,gender,whether the only child,grade,whether the parents are divorced and the length of time in school;3.There is a significant positive correlation between the total score of perceived social support and family support,peer support,school support and school belonging,a significant negative correlation between bullying–discrimination and school belonging,a significant positive correlation between school belonging the total score and dimensions of collective self-esteem;4.The perceived social support and collective self-esteem of migrant children have a direct effect on school belonging,Meanwhile,the perceived social support has indirect effect on the sense of school belonging through collective self-esteem;5.The collective self-esteem of migrant children plays a partial mediating role in the relationship between perceived social support and school belonging;6.The collective self-esteem of migrant children plays a partial mediating effect on the relationship between perceived social support and school belonging,and the effect accounted for 46.3% of the total effect of perceived social support on school belonging.
